Honor, Celebrate and Inspire the Women in your Life.

Next Spring, join hundreds of women (and men) in the Orlando and Osceola community who will come together to build affordable housing and show that women can turn dollars into homes! This event raises funds to support Habitat for Humanity Greater Orlando & Osceola County’s mission to build homes, communities and hope. Since 2009, more than 1,500 women have volunteered over 12,500 hours for Habitat Orlando & Osceola.

Helping homeowners to fulfill the dream of affordable home-ownership takes lots of behind-the-scenes work from dedicated volunteers and generous donors. In Spring 2020, join Habitat for Humanity Greater Orlando & Osceola County for a day building dreams and affordable homes.

In addition to volunteering, all Women Build teams will be raising funds to help homeowners and their families achieve strength, stability, and independence through home-ownership - right here in Central Florida.

Why Financially Support Women Build?

Orlando now has the worst shortage of affordable housing in the nation.
Nearly half of families can’t consistently cover basic living expenses, and a startling 18% of all households spend more than 50% of their income on housing.
They feel like they’ll never get ahead.

Habitat offers a hand up by providing a path to affordable home-ownership.
For many in our community, affordable home-ownership is the first step toward economic advancement and other benefits associated with home-ownership.
Better, affordable living conditions lead to improved health, stronger childhood development and gives families the ability - and financial flexibility - to make forward-looking choices. Homeowners invest financially, physically and emotionally in their homes.

Your financial support of Women Build will help Habitat Orlando & Osceola County  build affordable homes for our low-income neighbors, transforming the lives of hard-working individuals and families.

Meet a past Women Build homeowner, Latisia!

Latisia's generous and courageous spirit has been evident throughout her path to homeownership with Habitat for Humanity Greater Orlando & Osceola County.

She works long hours as a Health Unit Coordinator at a hospital to care for her son and her daughter, who has special needs. Additionally, she is caring for her two young cousins whom she adopted last year to prevent them from entering foster care.

Latisia applied for the homeownership program three times since 2013, working hard to improve her credit standing, before finally being accepted in 2018. She is now debt-free and excited to achieve her dream of homeownership. She closed on her home in October 2019.
When asked about her inspiration to persevere, she said, "I want better for my kids, so I did better. They now have the chance to experience something different."

Welcome home, Latisia!
